The Heart Words Toolkit puts three heart words resources in one download, for teaching irregular words with the Heart Word Method. Students decode the regular parts of a word and learn only the tricky part by heart.
What's included:
Heart Words Flashcards and Slides
Irregular high frequency words, already mapped, so you can introduce each heart word the same way every time. The cards are organized by skill and fully editable, and you can print them for centers.
Editable Heart Words Mapping Template
Make a heart word mapping worksheet for any word with up to 5 sounds. Type the word and its sounds, print, and follow the lesson guide. It works with any curriculum.
Heart Words Foldable Books
Print, fold, and hand them out. Students read, map, and write each word, and the books are organized by skill, so they work well as independent practice.
Why you'll love it:
The heart words cards, the template, and the books all use the same mapping format. Students don't have to learn a new layout when you switch from teaching a word to practicing it.
Prep is quick and easy. Print the pages you need for this week's words.
This is a digital product. Nothing physical will ship.
